Standard / Intermediate First Aid (OFA Level 2) with CPR-C and AED is a core part of the Coquitlam schedule at 914 Sherwood Avenue. It is the level moderate-hazard Tri-Cities employers assign — construction, millwork, manufacturing — and the natural stepping stone for anyone planning to take Advanced First Aid (OFA 3) with us later.

    WHO TAKES IT IN COQUITLAM

First aid attendants at moderate-hazard sites, construction and manufacturing crews, camp and film-unit medics working toward OFA 3, and healthcare or care-aide students.

Coquitlam is where we keep the oxygen therapy trainers, spine boards and stretchers, so the Level 2 practical work is done with the same equipment students will find in a real first aid room. Crews from Evergreen Line contractors, the City of Coquitlam yards and Port Coquitlam fabrication shops cycle through here for renewals, and because OFA 3 also runs on this campus, instructors can tell you exactly which parts of Level 2 carry forward.

    WHERE THE COQUITLAM CLASS RUNS

Our Coquitlam campus at 914 Sherwood Avenue is a full classroom facility with free on-site parking, running public-schedule courses seven days a week. On-site training is also available anywhere in the Tri-Cities for private group bookings.

STANDARD / INTERMEDIATE FIRST AID (OFA 2) IN COQUITLAM — QUESTIONS

Does OFA Level 2 in Coquitlam lead into your OFA 3 program?

Yes. Level 2 is taught on the same campus that runs Advanced First Aid (OFA 3) full-time and part-time cohorts, and the assessment, spinal and oxygen skills carry directly into that program.

Is there a blended option so I only attend one day?

Blended delivery — online theory plus a single in-class day for skills and evaluation — is available on selected dates. The dates list on this page shows which sittings are blended.
