How long is the OFA Level 3 renewal course?

The Advanced First Aid Renewal is a 40-hour program delivered over 5 consecutive days at our Coquitlam classroom. A part-time evening/weekend option is also available.

When do I need to take the OFA 3 renewal?

Your renewal must be completed before your existing OFA Level 3 certificate expires. If your certificate has lapsed, WorkSafeBC requires you to retake the full Advanced First Aid (OFA 3) program rather than the renewal.

What does the OFA 3 renewal cost?

Tuition is $678 and includes all instruction, equipment use, the WorkSafeBC practical and written exams, your renewed 3-year certificate, and a wallet card.

Do I need to bring my existing OFA 3 certificate?

Yes. Bring your current OFA Level 3 certificate and government-issued photo ID on the first day so we can verify eligibility for the renewal.

This 40-hour, five-day program is designed for certified OFA Level 3 attendants who need to recertify before their existing ticket expires. You'll refresh advanced patient assessment, airway and oxygen therapy, trauma management, spinal motion restriction, and pharmacology — and complete the WorkSafeBC practical and written evaluations required to renew your certificate for another three years. Classes are led by experienced WorkSafeBC-approved instructors and run regularly throughout the year.
