Metro Safety Training Inc. invests significant resources to secure your seat, including instructor allocation, facility booking, and third-party course licensing. As a result, all registrations are subject to the following strict policy. To request any change, please email Info@metrosafety.ca.
1. All Sales Are Final (Core Policy)
- All course registrations are non-refundable.
- This applies to all course types, durations, and payment amounts.
- No exceptions will be made for change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or personal circumstances.
2. Courses with Online or Third-Party Components
No refunds or transfers are permitted under any circumstances, except where required by law. This includes blended / online courses, courses with pre-course modules, and any course delivered partially or fully through a third-party provider.
- If you are unable to attend, a non-refundable credit may be issued at our discretion.
- Credit is valid for up to 12 months from the purchase date.
- As per Canadian Red Cross regulations, instructors cannot permit students to join the in-class practical portion if the online component is incomplete. Students will be turned away and no refunds will be issued for incomplete online learning.
3. Course Credits (In Place of Refunds)
- Credits are issued instead of refunds where permitted under this policy.
- Valid for 12 calendar months from the original purchase date.
- Non-transferable unless approved in writing.
- No cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash.
4. Transfers & Rescheduling
Transfers are not guaranteed and are subject to approval. Advance notice is required:
- 1–2 day courses: minimum 72 hours notice
- 3–5 day courses: minimum 5 business days
- 6+ day courses: minimum 10 business days
- If approved, a transfer fee of 25% applies (minimum $50, maximum $250 + tax).
- Only one transfer per registration is permitted.
5. Late Notice / Missed Courses
- Inside the required notice window: no credit, no transfer, no refund.
- No-show (failure to attend): no credit, refund, or transfer permitted.
6. Late Arrival
- Entry may be refused due to certification requirements.
- If refused, the registration is treated as a no-show and no refund or credit will be issued.
7. Illness or Emergency
- You must notify us before the course start time; documentation may be required.
- If approved, a credit may be issued (no refunds), valid for 12 months.
- Approval is at the sole discretion of Metro Safety Training Inc.
8. Deposits (Multi-Day Courses)
- All deposits are non-refundable.
- Deposits may be held as credit for 12 months.
- Deposits are not redeemable for cash.
9. Course Cancellation by Metro Safety
If we cancel a course, you may choose a full credit or a full refund.
10. Exceptional Circumstances
- Refunds will only be issued to the extent required by applicable law.
- This may include, but is not limited to, a death in the immediate family or other legally protected circumstances.
- Any such request must be submitted in writing, may require supporting documentation, and will be reviewed case by case.
11. Unsuccessful Completion (Re-Training Option)
- Re-enroll at 50% of the course price (maximum $500 + tax).
- Valid for 6 months. Further attempts require full payment.
12. Group Bookings
All group bookings are final sale, non-refundable, and non-transferable unless approved in writing.
13. Agreement to Terms
- Your seat incurs immediate operational and financial costs.
- Refunds are not standard and are only issued where legally required.
- Credits are the primary form of resolution.
