ADVANCED FIRST AID RENEWAL — PART-TIME (OFA 3 RENEWAL)
Renew your WorkSafeBC OFA Level 3 certificate on a part-time evening and weekend schedule at our Coquitlam classroom — serving Surrey, Burnaby, Vancouver, and the Lower Mainland. 4-day intensive challenge with a full skills refresher, updated protocols, and a bundled Canadian Red Cross CPR Level A certificate.
Metro Safety Training's Advanced First Aid Renewal (Part-Time) is a WorkSafeBC-recognized OFA Level 3 renewal delivered on a flexible evening and weekend schedule at our Coquitlam classroom. It's designed for currently certified OFA 3 attendants across Coquitlam, Surrey, Burnaby, Vancouver, and the broader Lower Mainland who need to renew without stepping away from work for a full 10-day program. Over 4 intensive days (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on scheduled days) you'll refresh core Level 3 skills against the latest WorkSafeBC standards — including updated equipment such as pulse oximeters and tourniquets — then complete a formal Challenge Evaluation covering a 100-question written exam and scenario-based practical assessments. Successful participants leave with a 3-year OFA Level 3 renewal and a bundled Canadian Red Cross CPR Level A certificate. Pre-reading and homework between sessions is required, and full attendance on the final two days is mandatory to qualify for certification.

- Employers renewing designated first aid personnel to stay WorkSafeBC-compliant
Prerequisites: You must hold a valid, current WorkSafeBC OFA Level 3 certificate and be physically able to perform the required tasks. This course includes only two days of refresher training before the Challenge Evaluation, so we recommend it only for attendants confident in their existing OFA 3 skills. Participants who do not achieve 70% on the written or practical exam must retake that portion within 30 days. Failure to pass on the second attempt requires completing the full 10-day Advanced First Aid program.
