SERVING SURREY & THE FRASER VALLEY

First Aid & CPR Training in Surrey, BC

Surrey is British Columbia's fastest-growing city and one of the largest employers of trades, healthcare, warehouse, agricultural and construction workers in the province. Every active worksite in Guildford, Newton, Cloverdale, South Surrey, Fleetwood and Whalley falls under WorkSafeBC's Occupational First Aid regulations — meaning designated attendants at the appropriate OFA level and often forklift, fall protection or confined space tickets on top. Metro Safety Training delivers all of these programs — Basic First Aid (OFA 1), Intermediate First Aid (OFA 2), Advanced First Aid (OFA 3), Canadian Red Cross CPR-C and BLS, Forklift certification, Fall Protection and Confined Space — either at our Coquitlam campus or on-site at your Surrey location. Same-day WorkSafeBC certificates, seasoned instructors, and scheduling that fits construction and shift-based work.

OFA & construction safety training for Surrey worksites

Surrey's construction pipeline — from the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain expansion to the new Surrey Hospital and Cancer Centre, to the endless residential builds in Grandview Heights and South Surrey — creates continuous demand for OFA-certified attendants and safety-ticketed trades. Metro Safety Training certifies OFA Level 1, 2 and 3 attendants (plus Transportation Endorsement for isolated sites) year-round, and our on-site instructor teams regularly deliver Fall Protection and Confined Space training at active Surrey job sites so foremen can keep crews on the tools. New hires can be OFA 1–certified in a single day; existing OFA 3 attendants can renew their AFA-R without stepping off site for two weeks.

BLS & CPR for Surrey Memorial and Fraser Health providers

Surrey Memorial Hospital, Peace Arch Hospital and Fraser Health's community-care and long-term care facilities across Surrey employ thousands of nurses, care aides, respiratory therapists and allied-health professionals. Every one of them needs a current Canadian Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) card. Metro Safety runs BLS certification and recertification classes weekly at our Coquitlam campus (about 40 minutes from Surrey Central), and Standard First Aid with CPR-C for support and community-care staff. Our cards are accepted by all Fraser Health facilities and by every BC healthcare training program. Kwantlen Polytechnic University students routinely book missed BLS dates with us to keep their clinical rotations on track.

Forklift, warehouse & industrial training for Surrey employers

Surrey's industrial economy — Port Kells, Campbell Heights, Newton, Cloverdale and the Fraser Highway logistics corridor — is packed with warehouses, cold storage, food processing, agricultural operations and distribution centres. Forklift-ticketed drivers, Fall Protection–certified workers, and OFA-certified attendants are non-negotiable in these environments. Metro Safety delivers Forklift certification on-site at Surrey warehouses using your own trucks, Fall Protection training for elevated-work crews, and Confined Space training for entrants and monitors working in tanks, vaults, silos and vessels. Full-crew group bookings are our specialty — we scale instructor teams to keep large sessions on time.

How Surrey students reach our courses

By car, Surrey students reach our Coquitlam campus in about 30–45 minutes depending on traffic and starting point — via Highway 1 eastbound to Exit 44 (Brunette Avenue), or via the Golden Ears Bridge and Lougheed Highway. Transit riders take the Expo Line from King George or Surrey Central to Production Way–University, transfer to the Millennium Line to Lougheed Town Centre, and hop the 151 or 152 bus one stop to Sherwood Avenue — total commute usually 60–70 minutes. For most Surrey employers, on-site private training is the practical choice: we bring instructors, manikins, AEDs and paperwork directly to your Surrey warehouse, job site, hospital or office, and issue WorkSafeBC certificates the same day.
