What You Will Learn
This hands-on course follows the Red Cross "Check, Call, Care" framework. Participants will gain the confidence to manage various emergencies, including:
- Airway & Breathing: Choking procedures and CPR for adults, children, and infants.
- Circulatory Emergencies: Recognizing signs of heart attack and stroke.
- Medical Emergencies: Anaphylaxis (EpiPen use), asthma, seizures, and diabetic emergencies.
- Trauma & Wound Care: Controlling external bleeding and managing head or spinal injuries.
- AED Operation: Safe and effective use of an Automated External Defibrillator.
Certification and Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course; it is open to anyone aged 16 or older. Upon successful completion, students will receive a Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid + CPR/AED Level C certificate, which is valid for three years. You will have access to your digital certificate via the Red Cross portal on the same day as your training.
