Professional Intermediate First Aid Training in Surrey
Join Metro Safety Training for our WorkSafeBC-approved Intermediate First Aid (formerly OFA Level 2) course. This comprehensive two-day program is scheduled for December 3-4, 2026. Training sessions run from 07:30 AM to 03:30 PM (PST) each day. While catering specifically to the Surrey business community, this course is held at our centrally located training hub.

What You Will Learn
This 14-hour intensive course provides the depth required for high-hazard industries. Students will gain hands-on experience in:
- The Priority Action Approach (PAA) for scene management.
- Advanced life-saving skills including two-person CPR and AED operation.
- Management of critical chest injuries (pneumothorax and flail chest).
- Trauma care: tourniquet application, internal bleeding, and shock management.
- Immobilization for spinal, musculoskeletal, and fracture-related injuries.
- Treatment for environmental emergencies and major burns using the "rule of nines."
Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for designated first aid attendants at moderate-to-high hazard workplaces with 20 or more workers, as per WorkSafeBC Schedule 3-A. It is the gold standard for workers in Surrey’s construction, forestry, warehousing, and manufacturing sectors. No prior first aid certification is required to enroll.
Certification Details
Upon successful completion and passing the written examination, participants will receive a WorkSafeBC Intermediate First Aid Certificate. This certification is valid for three years and is recognized across British Columbia for workplace compliance audits.
