Comprehensive Standard First Aid Training in Surrey, BC
Join Metro Safety Training for a professional Standard First Aid (Intermediate First Aid) with CPR/AED Level C certification course. This session is scheduled for January 21, 2027, at our dedicated training facility: Metro Safety Surrey, located at 15685 Fraser Hwy #4a, Surrey, BC V4N 0Y6. The course runs from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM PST.
This Canadian Red Cross blended program is designed to provide maximum flexibility without sacrificing hands-on skill development. Students complete 2-4 hours of online theory at their own pace followed by a full day of intensive practical training with our expert instructors.

What You Will Learn
This comprehensive curriculum covers a wide range of life-saving skills and emergency response protocols, including:
- CPR & AED: High-quality CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants, and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator.
- Assessment: Conducting primary and secondary patient assessments, including SAMPLE history and vital signs.
- Trauma Care: Managing life-threatening bleeding (including tourniquet application), wound care, and treating thermal, chemical, or electrical burns.
- Medical Emergencies: Recognizing and responding to heart attacks, strokes (FAST), seizures, and diabetic emergencies.
- Environmental & Respiratory Issues: Managing anaphylaxis (EpiPen use), asthma, poisoning, and heat/cold-related illnesses.
Who Should Attend?
Standard First Aid is the industry standard for many professionals. This course is ideal for childcare workers, teachers, coaches, healthcare support workers (PSWs), and federally regulated employees. It is also highly recommended for any individual who wants the confidence to handle emergencies at home or in the community.
Certification & Registration
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid + CPR/AED Level C certificate, which is valid for three years. Digital certificates are typically available the same day via the Red Cross portal.
