    Comprehensive Standard First Aid Training in Surrey, BC

    Join Metro Safety Training for a professional Standard First Aid (Intermediate First Aid) with CPR/AED Level C certification course.     What You Will Learn

    This comprehensive curriculum covers a wide range of life-saving skills and emergency response protocols, including:

    • CPR & AED: High-quality CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants, and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator.
    • Assessment: Conducting primary and secondary patient assessments, including SAMPLE history and vital signs.
    • Trauma Care: Managing life-threatening bleeding (including tourniquet application), wound care, and treating thermal, chemical, or electrical burns.
    • Medical Emergencies: Recognizing and responding to heart attacks, strokes (FAST), seizures, and diabetic emergencies.
    • Environmental & Respiratory Issues: Managing anaphylaxis (EpiPen use), asthma, poisoning, and heat/cold-related illnesses.

    Standard First Aid is the industry standard for many professionals. This course is ideal for childcare workers, teachers, coaches, healthcare support workers (PSWs), and federally regulated employees.     Certification & Registration

    Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid + CPR/AED Level C certificate, which is valid for three years. Digital certificates are typically available the same day via the Red Cross portal.
