This hybrid training model combines convenient online self-paced learning with a one-day in-class practical session, ensuring participants receive both flexible theory delivery and hands-on skill development.
According to Metro Safety, the blended SFA format “offers the same high-quality Red Cross certification while allowing students to complete theory online before practicing skills in person.”

During the in-class component, learners will complete practical training in CPR for adults/children/infants, AED use, wound care, breathing emergencies, shock management, and response strategies for common workplace injuries.

Successful completion results in a Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid & CPR-C certificate, valid for 3 years.
