What You Will Learn

Emergency assessment and scene safety Infant and child CPR techniques (including two-rescuer skills) Safe and effective use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on infants and children Recognition and response to airway obstructions and choking in infants and children Management of breathing emergencies, asthma, and anaphylaxis (including EpiPen response) Treatment of burns, sprains, fractures, and falls Handling common childhood medical emergencies including fever and seizures Poisoning and ingestion hazard response

Certification

Participants receive a Red Cross Emergency Child Care First Aid CPR/AED Level B certificate valid for 3 years upon successful completion.

Prerequisites

No prerequisites — open to all learners Government-issued photo ID Physically able to participate in hands-on skills practice
