CONFINED SPACE SAFETY FOR ENTRANTS & MONITORS IN VANCOUVER
Vancouver entrants and monitors take Confined Space Safety either as a public seat at our Coquitlam campus — about 25 minutes east — or as a private session delivered at their own Vancouver facility. There is no Metro Safety classroom in Vancouver, and confined space is the last course to fake an address for: the practical portion needs real detectors, ventilation and retrieval equipment on the floor.

WHO TAKES IT IN VANCOUVER
Utility and municipal crews working manholes, vaults and chambers, industrial maintenance and mechanical trades, tank and vessel workers, civil contractors in deep excavations, and safety officers signing off entry permits.
The Vancouver enquiries we take are heavily port and building-services weighted: terminal and rail operators along Commissioner Street, marine and shipyard contractors, brewery and food-processing tanks in Strathcona and Mount Pleasant, and downtown mechanical crews working elevator pits, sumps and mechanical vaults in towers. On-site delivery is popular there because an instructor can teach the permit against the building's own space inventory, and because parking a whole crew in Coquitlam for an afternoon costs more in time than the course does.
WHERE THE VANCOUVER CLASS RUNS
We do not operate a classroom in Vancouver — this is a service area. Public-schedule courses run at our Coquitlam campus (914 Sherwood Avenue, about 25 minutes by SkyTrain), and we deliver private on-site training anywhere in Vancouver.
CONFINED SPACE (ENTRANT & MONITOR) IN VANCOUVER — QUESTIONS
Where does a Vancouver student actually take this course?
At our Coquitlam campus, 914 Sherwood Avenue — around 25 minutes from downtown on the Millennium Line — or at your Vancouver site as a private group booking. We do not publish a Vancouver classroom address because we do not have one.
Can you train on our own confined spaces in Vancouver?
Yes, and it is the better option for a fixed facility. We teach the permit, classification and rescue pre-plan against your actual tanks, pits or vaults so the paperwork your supervisors sign matches what they practised on.
Do you supply gas detectors, or should we bring ours?
We bring multi-gas detectors for practice. If your crew uses a specific make on the job, bring one along — we will bump test and calibrate it with the class so the training transfers directly.
Is confined space training a WorkSafeBC requirement?
Role-specific training is required before anyone enters or monitors a confined space under the OHS Regulation. This course is built to that standard and issues a three-year certificate.
