    What You Will Learn

    This course covers a wide range of emergency scenarios and life-saving techniques, including:

    • CPR & AED: High-quality CPR and AED operation for adults, children, and infants.
    • Trauma Care: Managing severe bleeding, tourniquet application, burns, and head/spine injuries.
    • Medical Emergencies: Recognizing heart attacks, strokes, seizures, and diabetic emergencies.
    • Environmental Hazards: Treating heat stroke, hypothermia, and poisoning.
    • Patient Assessment: Primary and secondary assessments using the SAMPLE history framework.

    Who Should Attend?

    This course is ideal for teachers, daycare workers, coaches, healthcare support staff (PSWs), and community volunteers who require a 3-year certification. While it is a Canadian Red Cross credential, please verify with your employer if you specifically require a WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid (OFA) certificate for your workplace role.
