Join Metro Safety for our comprehensive Standard First Aid Training / Intermediate First Aid Training With CPR on October 30, 2026. This Canadian Red Cross blended course is designed for individuals who need a deep understanding of first aid protocols for home, community, or workplace settings. This session will be held at our Metro Safety Surrey facility located at 15685 Fraser Hwy #4a, Surrey, BC V4N 0Y6.
Course Schedule & Format
This is a blended learning program consisting of two parts:
- Part 1: 2–4 hours of self-paced online pre-learning (must be completed before the class date).
- Part 2: In-person skills training on October 30, 2026, from 07:30 AM to 03:30 PM (PST).

What You Will Learn
Our expert instructors lead hands-on practice covering the full Red Cross curriculum, including:
- CPR & AED: High-quality CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants, plus AED operation.
- Trauma Care: Managing severe bleeding, tourniquet application, and care for head, neck, and spinal injuries.
- Medical Emergencies: Recognizing and treating heart attacks, strokes (FAST), asthma, and anaphylaxis.
- Environmental Hazards: Treating heat stroke, hypothermia, and poisoning.
Who Should Attend?
This course is ideal for teachers, daycare workers, coaches, healthcare support workers (PSWs), and anyone requiring a 3-year certification. Please note that while this is a Red Cross Standard First Aid certificate, you should verify with your employer if you specifically require a WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid (OFA) credential.
Certification & Registration
Upon successful completion, students receive a Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid + CPR/AED Level C certificate, valid for three years. Digital certificates are typically available the same day via the Red Cross portal.
