About This Course
Comprehensive Standard First Aid Training in Coquitlam
Join Metro Safety Training on April 3, 2027, for our Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid + CPR/AED Level C course. This intermediate-level training is delivered in a convenient blended format: complete 2–4 hours of self-paced online theory at home, followed by a hands-on skills day at our Coquitlam facility. The in-person session runs from 08:30 AM to 04:30 PM (PST).
Our training takes place at Metro Safety Training, located at 914 Sherwood Ave, Coquitlam, BC V3K 1A6. This location offers free on-site parking and is easily accessible for students coming from Surrey, Richmond, and Vancouver.

What You Will Learn
This comprehensive program goes beyond basic life support to ensure you are prepared for a wide range of emergencies. Key topics include:
- CPR & AED: High-quality CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants, plus automated external defibrillator (AED) operation.
- Trauma Care: Managing life-threatening bleeding, tourniquet application, and care for burns (thermal, chemical, and electrical).
- Medical Emergencies: Recognizing and responding to heart attacks, strokes (FAST), asthma, and anaphylaxis.
- Environmental & Injuries: Treatment for heat exhaustion, hypothermia, poisoning, and head, neck, or spinal injuries.
Who Should Attend?
This certification is ideal for daycare providers, teachers, coaches, healthcare support workers, and individuals in federally regulated workplaces. Participants must be at least 16 years old. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid + CPR/AED Level C certificate, which is valid for three years and recognized across Canada.
