What You Will Learn
This blended course combines 2-4 hours of self-paced online learning with a full day of hands-on practice. Our expert instructors will guide you through four comprehensive modules:
- Assessment & CPR: Scene safety, primary/secondary assessments, and high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants using AEDs.
- Trauma Care: Managing life-threatening bleeding, tourniquet application, and treating various types of burns.
- Injuries: Care for head, neck, and spinal injuries, as well as bone, muscle, and joint support using the RICE method.
- Medical Emergencies: Recognizing signs of heart attack, stroke (FAST), anaphylaxis, asthma, and poisoning.
Who Should Attend?
This course is ideal for coaches, teachers, healthcare support workers (PSWs), and anyone whose employer requires a 3-year Canadian Red Cross certification. Upon successful completion, students receive a digital certificate valid for three years, accessible the same day via the Red Cross portal.
