What You Will Learn
This blended course combines 2-4 hours of self-paced online learning with a full day of hands-on practice. Our expert instructors will guide you through several critical modules, including:
- Assessment & CPR: Primary and secondary patient assessment, and high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
- AED Operation: Safe and effective use of Automated External Defibrillators.
- Trauma Care: Managing life-threatening bleeding, tourniquet application, and treating various types of burns.
- Medical Emergencies: Recognizing signs of heart attack, stroke, anaphylaxis, and asthma.
- Environmental Emergencies: Responding to poisoning, heat-stroke, and hypothermia.
Who Should Attend?
This course is ideal for childcare workers, teachers, coaches, healthcare support staff, and federally regulated employees. It is also perfect for any resident of Coquitlam, Surrey, or Burnaby looking to gain life-saving skills. Participants must be at least 16 years of age.
Certification
