    This session will be held at our central training facility located at 914 Sherwood Ave, Coquitlam, BC V3K 1A6.     What You Will Learn

    Led by experienced WorkSafeBC-approved instructors, students will gain hands-on experience in critical lifesaving skills. The curriculum includes:

    • Advanced Assessment: Priority Action Approach (PAA) and secondary surveys.
    • Life-Threatening Emergencies: Tourniquet application for massive bleeding and management of internal bleeding/shock.
    • Respiratory Support: Management of flail chest, sucking chest wounds, and two-person CPR with AED.
    • Trauma Management: Immobilization of major fractures and spinal injury care.
    • Medical & Environmental: Treatment for diabetic emergencies, strokes, heatstroke, and major burns (Rule of Nines).

    Who Should Attend?

    This course is designed for individuals designated as first aid attendants at workplaces with 20+ workers, or those in remote areas more than 30 minutes from ambulance services. It is a vital upgrade for workers currently holding Basic First Aid who are moving into higher-responsibility roles.
