WorkSafeBC Intermediate First Aid (OFA 2) Training in Coquitlam
Join Metro Safety Training for our Intermediate First Aid (IFA) course, formerly known as OFA Level 2, scheduled for May 20 - 21, 2027. This comprehensive 14-hour program is held at our professional training facility located at 914 Sherwood Ave, Coquitlam, BC V3K 1A6. Training sessions run daily from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM PST.
This WorkSafeBC-approved course is essential for first aid attendants working in moderate-to-high hazard workplaces, including construction, forestry, and manufacturing. Unlike basic courses, the Intermediate level provides in-depth training on life-threatening emergencies. Students will gain hands-on experience in:
- Priority Action Approach (PAA) and patient assessment
- Advanced wound care, including tourniquet application for massive bleeding
- Management of respiratory emergencies like pneumothorax and flail chest
- Management of spinal, musculoskeletal, and environmental injuries
- Two-person CPR and AED operation

Certification Details
