What You Will Learn
This 14-hour program goes beyond basic life support, focusing on the Priority Action Approach (PAA) for occupational patient care. Students will gain hands-on experience in:
- Two-person CPR and AED operation
- Management of chest injuries, including pneumothorax and flail chest
- Massive bleeding control and the application of tourniquets
- Immobilization of major fractures and spinal management
- Treatment for environmental emergencies like heatstroke and hypothermia
- Assessment of major burns using the rule of nines
