About This Course
Professional Intermediate First Aid (OFA 2) Training in Surrey
Join Metro Safety for our WorkSafeBC-approved Intermediate First Aid (IFA) course, formerly known as OFA Level 2. This comprehensive two-day program is scheduled for April 15-16, 2027, at our Metro Safety Surrey facility located at 15685 Fraser Hwy #4a, Surrey, BC V4N 0Y6. Classes run from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM each day.
Comprehensive Skill Development
This 14-hour certification course is designed for attendants at moderate-to-high hazard workplaces. Participants will gain advanced life-saving skills, including:
- Trauma Management: Treatment for flail chest, pneumothorax, and sucking chest wounds.
- Circulatory Emergencies: Mastery of tourniquet application, internal bleeding control, and shock management.
- Advanced CPR: Two-person CPR and AED operation for cardiac arrest scenarios.
- Injury Stabilization: Immobilization of major fractures, dislocations, and spinal injury management.
- Environmental & Medical: Handling heatstroke, hypothermia, burns (rule of nines), and diabetic emergencies.
