Is Intermediate First Aid the same as OFA Level 2?

Yes. WorkSafeBC renamed Occupational First Aid Level 2 (OFA 2) to Intermediate First Aid (IFA) in 2024. The certification, 14-hour duration, and 3-year validity remain exactly the same as the former OFA 2.

Do I need to take Basic First Aid before this course?

No, there are no prerequisites. You do not need to hold a Basic First Aid (OFA 1) certificate before taking the Intermediate level. However, participants must be physically able to perform CPR and patient immobilization on the floor.

What should I bring to the Surrey training location?

Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID (required for certification). Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, as you will be participating in hands-on scenarios, including kneeling for CPR and spinal management practice.

Is there parking available at the Surrey venue?
