    What You Will Learn

    This 14-hour intensive course provides the skills necessary to manage high-hazard workplace emergencies. Our expert instructors lead students through hands-on scenarios and theoretical knowledge, covering:

    • Life-Threatening Emergencies: Mastery of the Priority Action Approach, two-person CPR, and AED operation.
    • Trauma Management: Critical care for chest injuries (pneumothorax), internal bleeding, and the proper application of tourniquets.
    • Specialized Care: Managing fractures, dislocations, spinal injuries, and major burns using the "rule of nines."
    • Environmental & Medical: Treatment for hypothermia, heatstroke, diabetic emergencies, and strokes.

    Who Should Attend?

    This course is essential for first aid attendants working in moderate-to-high hazard environments such as construction, forestry, manufacturing, and warehousing. It is specifically designed for sites where WorkSafeBC Schedule 3-A requires an Intermediate level attendant.     Certification Details

    Upon successful completion, participants receive a WorkSafeBC Intermediate First Aid certificate valid for three years.
