Intermediate First Aid - October 22-23, 2026-Coquitlam

This 14-hour intensive course provides the skills necessary to manage high-hazard workplace emergencies. Our expert instructors lead students through hands-on scenarios and theoretical knowledge, covering:

• Life-Threatening Emergencies: Mastery of the Priority Action Approach, two-person CPR, and AED operation.
• Trauma Management: Critical care for chest injuries (pneumothorax), internal bleeding, and the proper application of tourniquets.
• Specialized Care: Managing fractures, dislocations, spinal injuries, and major burns using the "rule of nines."
• Environmental & Medical: Treatment for hypothermia, heatstroke, diabetic emergencies, and strokes.

This course is essential for first aid attendants working in moderate-to-high hazard environments such as construction, forestry, manufacturing, and warehousing. It is specifically designed for sites where WorkSafeBC Schedule 3-A requires an Intermediate level attendant. Certification Details

Upon successful completion, participants receive a WorkSafeBC Intermediate First Aid certificate valid for three years. This certification is recognized across British Columbia and meets all provincial regulatory requirements. Evaluation is conducted continuously throughout the two days to ensure competency and confidence.
