Fall Protection - December 11, 2026

Led by WorkSafeBC-authorized instructors, this course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical experience. Participants will cover:

• The Fall Protection Hierarchy: Elimination, Guardrails, Restraint, and Arrest.
• ABC’s of Fall Protection: Anchorage, Body Support (Harnesses), and Connecting Means.
• Equipment Inspection: How to identify defects in lanyards, carabiners, and lifelines.
• Clearance Calculations: Calculating total fall distance to prevent ground contact.
• Written Fall Protection Plans: Developing compliant plans for work above 7.5 metres.
• Rescue Procedures: Understanding suspension trauma and emergency retrieval.

This course is essential for any worker in the Lower Mainland—including Coquitlam, Surrey, Burnaby, and Vancouver—who works at heights of 3 metres or more. This includes roofers, framers, steel erectors, scaffolders, and aerial platform operators. Site supervisors responsible for safety planning will also find this training invaluable.

Certification & Registration

Upon successful completion of the written exam and practical evaluation, students receive a WorkSafeBC-compliant Fall Protection Certificate valid for 3 years. Certificates are issued same-day so you can return to the job site immediately. Space is limited to 12 participants to ensure quality coaching.
