    What You Will Learn

    This NOCP-aligned bridge course focuses on EMR-specific competencies that extend beyond the OFA scope, including:

    • Advanced patient assessment and clinical documentation
    • Oxygen therapy, airway adjuncts, and suctioning
    • Assisted medication protocols (Nitroglycerin, ASA, Epinephrine, Glucagon)
    • Cardiac monitoring fundamentals and AED use
    • Spinal motion restriction (SMR) and vacuum mattress application
    • Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) triage and Incident Command System (ICS) roles
    • Pediatric and obstetrical emergencies

    Who Should Attend?

    This course is ideal for OFA 3 certificate holders in Coquitlam, Burnaby, and New Westminster who are expanding into EMS, fire services, patient transport, or search and rescue. Graduates receive a 3-year EMR certification and a 1-year Red Cross BLS (CPR-HCP) certification.
