Certified Emergency First Aid Training in Coquitlam
Join Metro Safety Training on September 25, 2026, for a comprehensive Emergency First Aid and Basic First Aid certification course. This half-day program is held at our primary training facility located at Metro Safety Training, 914 Sherwood Ave, Coquitlam, BC V3K 1A6. Our classroom is conveniently located near the Braid Street SkyTrain station and offers free on-site parking for all students.
The course runs from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM (PST). This fast-paced, 5-hour session is designed for individuals who need a recognized Canadian Red Cross EFA + CPR/AED Level C credential but cannot commit to a multi-day program. This certification is valid for three years and is widely accepted by coaching associations, childcare licensing, and community volunteer organizations.

- The Red Cross Check/Call/Care emergency response framework.

- Sudden Medical Emergencies: Recognizing heart attacks, strokes, seizures, and diabetic shocks.
- Trauma Care: Bleeding control, wound dressing, and head/spine injury stabilization.
- Environmental Hazards: Managing heat exhaustion, hypothermia, and frostbite.
Who Should Attend?
This course is perfect for employees in lower-hazard workplaces, teachers, daycare staff, and parents. Please note that while this is a Red Cross credential, it is not a substitute for the WorkSafeBC Basic First Aid (formerly OFA 1) required for designated workplace first aid attendants.
