Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid Training in Coquitlam
Get certified with Metro Safety Training’s Emergency First Aid (EFA) / Basic First Aid with CPR Level C. This half-day course is our most accessible entry-level program, providing participants with the core skills needed to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies. Whether you are a coach, childcare worker, or a concerned parent, this training ensures you have the confidence to act in a crisis.

What You Will Learn
Led by experienced Canadian Red Cross instructors, this course follows the Check/Call/Care emergency response framework. Key modules include:
- CPR Level C & AED: Comprehensive training for adults, children, and infants, including AED operation.
- Airway Emergencies: Recognizing and responding to choking for all ages.
- Sudden Medical Emergencies: How to identify and assist with heart attacks, strokes (FAST), seizures, and diabetic emergencies.
- Trauma & Wound Care: Bleeding control, head/spine injury response, and managing environmental emergencies like heat stroke or hypothermia.
Certification Details
Upon successful completion of the course and practical exam, students will receive a Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid + CPR/AED Level C certificate. This certification is valid for 3 years and includes same-day digital access via the Red Cross portal. Note: This course is a Red Cross credential and does not replace WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid (OFA) requirements.
