    What You Will Learn

This Canadian Red Cross EFA course uses the Check-Call-Care framework to ensure you can manage emergency scenes confidently. Key curriculum modules include:

    • Airway & Breathing: Techniques for adult, child, and infant choking and CPR.
    • Cardiac Emergencies: How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and recognize heart attacks or strokes.
    • Sudden Medical Emergencies: Responding to anaphylaxis (EpiPen use), asthma, seizures, and diabetic shocks.
    • Trauma Care: Managing external bleeding, wound dressing, and head/spine injury stabilization.

    Who Should Attend?

This course is ideal for coaches, childcare workers, teachers, community volunteers, and parents who need a recognized 3-year certification. Please note that while this is a Canadian Red Cross credential, it is not a WorkSafeBC occupational first aid (BFA/OFA) designation. It is perfect for those seeking rapid, high-quality training in a single morning session.
