What You Will Learn
This course follows the Canadian Red Cross Check/Call/Care emergency response framework. Participants will gain hands-on experience in:
- Airway & Breathing: Managing choking for adults, children, and infants.
- CPR & AED: High-quality CPR techniques and Automated External Defibrillator operation.
- Medical Emergencies: Recognizing signs of heart attack, stroke, anaphylaxis, and asthma.
- Trauma Care: Controlling external bleeding and managing head, spine, and musculoskeletal injuries.
Who Should Attend?
This course is ideal for coaches, childcare workers, teachers, parents, and community volunteers throughout Coquitlam, Surrey, Richmond, and Vancouver. It is the perfect entry-level certification for those who need a 3-year Red Cross credential but do not require a full WorkSafeBC occupational designation. Participants must be at least 16 years of age.
Certification & Registration
Upon successful completion, students receive a Canadian Red Cross Emergency First Aid + CPR/AED Level C certificate, valid for three years. You will have same-day access to your digital certificate via the Red Cross portal. With a maximum capacity of only 5 students for this session, space is extremely limited.
