About This Course
Professional Emergency First Aid Training in Coquitlam
Join Metro Safety Training on April 3, 2027, for a comprehensive Emergency First Aid + CPR/AED Level C certification course. This Canadian Red Cross program is designed to provide you with the essential skills needed to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies with confidence. The session runs from 08:30 to 16:30.
Location & Venue
Training will be conducted at our primary facility: Metro Safety Training, 914 Sherwood Ave, Coquitlam, BC V3K 1A6. Our classroom is conveniently located for residents of Coquitlam, Surrey, Richmond, and Vancouver. We provide free on-site parking for all participants. Course Curriculum & Learning Objectives
This course follows the Canadian Red Cross curriculum, focusing on immediate life-saving techniques. Participants will learn:
- The Check/Call/Care System: How to assess emergency scenes and activate EMS.
- Airway & Breathing: Choking response and CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants.
- AED Operation: How to safely use an Automated External Defibrillator.
- Medical Emergencies: Recognizing heart attacks, strokes, and anaphylaxis (including EpiPen use).
- Trauma Care: Managing external bleeding, head and spine injuries, and environmental emergencies like heat stroke or hypothermia.
