What You Will Learn
This 4.5–5 hour session covers the Red Cross "Check, Call, Care" framework and provides hands-on practice in several critical areas:
- Airway & Breathing: Choking procedures for adults, children, and infants.
- CPR & AED: Comprehensive CPR Level C techniques and the use of Automated External Defibrillators.
- Medical Emergencies: Recognizing heart attacks, strokes, and anaphylaxis (including EpiPen use).
- Trauma Care: Managing external bleeding, wound dressing, and head/spine injury basics.
Who Should Attend?
This course is ideal for individuals serving the Coquitlam, Surrey, Richmond, and Vancouver areas who require a recognized Red Cross credential but do not need a full WorkSafeBC occupational designation.
