Course Overview and Learning Outcomes

This intensive 4-hour session runs from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM (PST). Participants will engage in both theoretical learning and practical exercises covering:

• Identification of confined spaces and associated hazards (atmospheric, physical, and flammable)
• Workplace safety legislation and WorkSafeBC standards
• Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and gas detection monitors
• Entry permit systems and the role of the stand-by person
• Emergency response planning and rescue procedures
