Basic First Aid - October 22, 2026 -Coquitlam

This hands-on course follows WorkSafeBC standards and covers a wide range of life-saving techniques. Under the guidance of our expert instructors, students will master:

• Priority Action Approach: How to assess emergency scenes and prioritize care.
• CPR & AED: Techniques for adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator use.
• Airway Management: How to assist a choking victim and manage obstructed airways.
• Hemorrhage Control: Managing severe bleeding and proper wound care application.
• Minor Wound Care: Proper cleaning and dressing of minor injuries to prevent infection.
• Reporting: Understanding workplace documentation and first aid record-keeping.

The Basic First Aid (OFA 1) course is ideal for workplace first aid attendants, construction workers, manufacturing staff, and office employees who need to meet WorkSafeBC requirements. With a maximum capacity of 6 students, this session offers a low student-to-instructor ratio, ensuring you receive the personalized coaching necessary to feel confident in your skills.

Certification and Registration

Successful graduates will receive a 3-year certification in Occupational First Aid Level 1. The registration fee for this session is $98.
