    What You Will Learn

    Led by experienced, WorkSafeBC-approved instructors, students will engage in both theory and hands-on practical scenarios. Key modules include:

    • Priority Action Approach: Scene assessment and the primary survey.
    • CPR & AED: High-quality adult CPR and automated external defibrillator operation.
    • Emergency Management: Treating severe bleeding, shock, burns, and airway obstructions (choking).
    • Medical Emergencies: Recognizing signs of stroke (FAST), seizures, and diabetic emergencies.
    • Documentation: Proper WorkSafeBC first aid record-keeping for workplace compliance.

    Who Should Attend?

    This course is ideal for office staff, retail workers, hospitality employees, and construction site visitors in the Surrey, Langley, and Delta areas. It is specifically designed for workplaces located within 20 minutes of emergency medical services. Participants must be at least 16 years old and bring photo ID to class.

    Certification & Registration

    Upon successful completion of the written exam and practical assessment, students receive a WorkSafeBC Basic First Aid certificate valid for 3 years. The $98 registration fee covers all training materials, equipment, and your certification card.
