Is Basic First Aid the same as OFA Level 1?

Yes. WorkSafeBC updated the naming convention. Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA 1) is now referred to as Basic First Aid. The certification remains the standard for most BC workplaces.

What are the class times and parking availability for the Coquitlam location?

The course runs from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on both October 27th and 28th. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early at our Coquitlam facility (914 Sherwood Ave) for registration. Free parking is available for all students.

What should I bring to the Basic First Aid training?

Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID (required for certification). Wear comfortable clothing suitable for floor exercises, such as practicing CPR and bandaging techniques.

How long is the certification valid for?

Upon successful completion of the 2-day course, you will receive a WorkSafeBC Basic First Aid (OFA 1) certificate which is valid for three years from the date of issue.
