    This 14-hour certification course focuses on the skills required to provide life-saving care until professional medical help arrives. Participants will engage in hands-on training and theoretical sessions covering:

    • Emergency Response: The Priority Action Approach and scene assessment.
    • Life Support: Adult CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
    • Wound Management: Proper technique for cleaning and dressing minor and major wounds.
    • Medical Emergencies: Recognizing and treating signs of heart attack, stroke, and airway obstructions (choking).
    • Regulatory Compliance: Understanding WorkSafeBC requirements and documentation for workplace first aid attendants.
