Advanced First Aid (OFA 3) Training in Coquitlam
Join Metro Safety Training for our comprehensive Advanced First Aid (AFA) course, running from December 7 to December 18, 2026. This intensive two-week program is designed for individuals seeking the highest level of first aid certification required for workplace safety in British Columbia, equivalent to the Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA 3) standard.
Training will be conducted at our professional facility located at Metro Safety Training, 914 Sherwood Ave, Coquitlam, BC V3K 1A6. You can find our location and get directions via Google Maps here. Classes will run daily from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Time.

What You Will Learn
This course provides students with the skills needed to manage medical emergencies in remote areas or high-risk workplaces. The curriculum covers:
- Advanced primary and secondary surveys
- Management of critical airway and respiratory emergencies
- Circulatory system shock and hemorrhage control
- Spinal immobilization and traumatic injury management
- Medical emergencies (diabetes, seizures, cardiac arrest)
- Workplace emergency response planning and documentation
Who Should Attend?
This course is ideal for designated first aid attendants in high-risk industries (such as forestry, mining, or construction), emergency responders, and those working in remote locations.
