Advanced First Aid Renewal - August 9-13, 2027

This 40-hour program refreshes the critical life-saving skills required for high-risk industrial environments. Led by experienced WorkSafeBC-approved instructors, students will review and be evaluated on:

• Advanced patient assessment and primary surveys
• Airway management and oxygen therapy administration
• Trauma management and spinal motion restriction (SMR)
• Management of medical emergencies and pharmacology
• WorkSafeBC practical and written evaluations

This course is mandatory for certified OFA 3 / Advanced First Aid attendants working in industries such as forestry, mining, and construction, particularly those located in remote areas more than 20 minutes from a hospital. Important: You must possess a valid, unexpired OFA Level 3 certificate to qualify for this renewal program.

Certification and Registration

Upon successful completion of the examinations, participants receive a WorkSafeBC OFA Level 3 certificate, valid for three years. We offer small class sizes to ensure you receive personalized instruction and sufficient hands-on practice. The cost for this session is $698.
